The main function of the casting system in the strip casting and rolling production line is to transport the liquid aluminum from the holding furnace to the feed nozzle, remove the oxides and gases in the aluminum liquid, and keep the metal pressure in the feed nozzle unchanged, ensuring molten aluminum can be smoothly continuously supplied to the casting and rolling system from the static furnace.
The casting system consists of a launder, a front box and a liquid level control device, a feed nozzle, an aluminum titanium boron wire inlet device, and a refining and degassing device outside the furnace. As the assembly position of the feed nozzle directly affects its service life and the quality of the cast-rolled billet, in order to ensure the tolerance between the feed nozzle and the casting roll, a feed nozzle adjustment device must be provided.

The front box is mounted on the trolley. There is a buoy above the front box to control the level of the melt. The structure of this casting system is complicated. Manufacturing, assembly, adjustment and operation are quite difficult.

The front box, the runner and the feed nozzle are installed on the bottom plate and merged into a whole to facilitate the use of the casting system. The adjustment mechanism accurately positions the feed nozzle.
Casting system used in horizontal strip casting and rolling mill
It is mainly composed of launder, ceramic plug, buoy, vertical pipe, front box and feed nozzle. The outside of the launder is welded by steel plates, and the inner lining is made of aluminum silicate clay. From this, the aluminum liquid flows into the front box through a replaceable vertical pipe made of silicate aluminum clay. The lower end of the vertical pipe has a piece of aluminum silicate clay. The made buoy floats on the liquid aluminum surface to control the height of the metal liquid surface in the front box. In addition, in order to blow nitrogen into the aluminum liquid, there are two porous and gas-permeable ceramic plugs at the bottom of the launder. Nitrogen can be blown into the aluminum liquid through the two ceramic plugs. In blowing, according to the different nitrogen consumption, choose ceramic plugs of different structures, and use different installation methods accordingly.
